I have begun the quest to complete my New Year's Resolutions, one of which is to go on an adventure. Thanks to my A-mazing aunt Melissa, I have plans to go on my adventure. After watching her kids Saturday night, she and I were talking about some of the things I want to do in my life and she suggested that I begin to plan my adventure as soon as possible. So my friends, are you ready for this? My adventure is that I am going to go to Washington, D.C. a few days after I graduate for a week! I will be (cross all extremities) be taking Nevitt with me. The only stipulation Melissa had was that I had to save $100 to buy the best pair of shoes that I saw (so of course, I have to bring Nevitt. She, and only she, can really understand my love of shoes). She told me that her best friend, also named Melissa who grew up back east, and she always do that when they go on trips so I need to start the tradition. I'm also hoping to visit NYC while I'm back east, since I've never been and it's on my list of places to visit. Anyway, I'm beyond excited... Now I just need to find inexpensive tickets... Anyone got any ideas?

Well you are already on one of life's greatest adventures "LIFE".. take it all in while you can and enjoy every minute! Make everyday an adventure! ;-)

Fly Southwest--free bags and cheap tickets. Mike's parents live/d in DC and I could find tickets for 99 bucks one way if I started to look early enough. Fly into dulles (I think)...whichever one is farther away...it's cheaper by a ton! And make sure you go to DSW for shoes-I have NEVER been to a better shoe store in my whole life then the DSW in Gaithersburg MD. You would die Mal...it's awesome! And make sure you hit up actual DC...everything is free, free, free and for a history buff like you, I don't think a week is going to be long enough! Have fun!
I'm actually going to fly out there and visit a friend probably in April. So far tickets are $200-300. But I just use kayak.com.
