London Calling...or Paris, Dublin, Rome, Glasglow...

So it's never been any big surprise that I want to travel. I have a list a mile long of places that are must sees in my life time. When I get bored I spend hours looking up flights to cities that I want to see and then am depressed for days by how astronomically expensive it is to travel. I collect pictures of different European destinations, as well as reading lots and lots of English chick lit... (If you haven't read Confessions of a Shopaholic then you need to. Hilarious). My friends have been (coughloganandjourdancough) recently, and while I love the pictures and presents they bring me, I want to go myself, so badly. I've never been the type to be content just knowing about one kind of people or place. I always want to know about everything and everyone. To eat their food, learn their slang and live like them. I love being American and I'm grateful that the Lord sent me to live here, in a place where I have all these opportunities and blessings, but I can't pretend that I've never wanted to pick up and leave it all behind here and move someone more exotic, somewhere that interests me more, where I could have a super sweet accent (I know, I know, to those people I have an accent, but honestly) and experience something new and different. I just keep telling myself that someday, someday I'll get to go instead of being the one to stay home and hear about the trip... and it will be stinkin' amazing when I do.

I have every confidence that you'll go somewhere someday. Be impulsive! I just saw a flyer one day and the next thing I knew I was on the other side of the planet. It was completely worth it. So do it.

Thanks Matt... I like your advice the best out of all the advice that people have given me. I'm not very impulsive when it comes to stuff like that, so maybe I should be more like you. :)

Just save your pennies and GO. It is SO worth it. I studied abroad in Italy and traveled around for 6 months, and it was one of the best experiences of my life (even though I returned home absolutely BROKE). Do it before you are married (that's when all the responsibilities start to pile up) and then one day you can tell your kids all about your crazy travels :)
