It will rarely have anything to do with anything, and will often mention chocolate chip cookies, so be warned. Don't be disappointed by the constant sarcasm or bad spelling, big words or historical references, the author enjoys all of the above. Oh and she really really really loves comments. Really.

Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer...
Friends! I have emerged from the black hole of finals and have lived to tell the tale. I'm in shock. I really thought that death was going to be a non negotiable part of my week, but alas, here I am, alive, well and fully caffeinated. :) Things slowed down dramatically after last Wednesday's astronomy final and well, let's be honest, I'm pretty darn excited about it. I've spent the last week convalescing. This has included repeated viewings of my favorite episodes of Lorelai and Rory, some closet organizing and more shopping then my bank account wanted me to do. And I've come to the conclusion that summer, like naps, are a gift from heaven, if spent correctly. A wise friend convinced me not to take classes this summer and now I have four months of play time. All of this is an amazingly fabulous revelation to me... Because free time is something that has been in short supply as of late. I have days and days of summer luxury. I made a reading list of all the books that I want to read this summer, now I just have to find the motivation to get them all! Any suggestions?

How about a trip to Philadelphia? I know of a great place you can stay. Good food, good company. What more could you wish for?
Read something good, work on writing your book, go on a few hikes, take pictures, go shopping, learn a new hobby (I'm taking a few cooking classes at Thanksgiving Point, if you want to come). I love summer!
You should travel to Arizona! Some sweating in the hot summer sun will lead to heat stroke and hallucinations...which could be very could for your book!
So glad you emmerged safely from your finals. Enjoy your summer! I plan to.
